The Coke family has owned land and property at Holkham for over 400 years and has a long-term interest in the land, The principle of responsible business has been practiced for many generations at Holkham Holkham has a total of 22 tenanted farms, made up of approximately 6,100 hectares, plus 1850 hectares that is farmed ‘in-hand’ by the Holkham Farming Company. Farming 3,000 hectares of estate land is managed by Holkham Farming Company. BUILDINGS & PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT In addition to the Grade I listed Holkham Hall the estate manages over 300 properties, many of which are listed. Most of the properties are over 200 years old and were built to house agricultural workers and estate staff. The estate has its own maintenance building team and we have a policy of using traditional and natural materials, wherever possible.
